This week was good. Paul started a new rotation and is loving it. He is working in a chemical genetics lab. He also likes the people he gets to work with in this new lab.   I have been sewing more this week and am selling some Christmas stockings! Thanks to Mom and Brianna for supporting my entrepreneur aspirations :) We hope everyone is doing well. Love you!

This week was really fun. I went to lunch with my coworker, Liz, on Tuesday. Paul finished up his organic chemistry lab. We celebrated by going to the Art of the Pumpkin event at the Dallas Arboretum. It was beautiful and perfect weather. I did a lot of sewing this week and finally finished putting together my 4th of July quilt.  It was great hearing Dad speak on Sunday. He did a great job. We loved his message of trusting in God to get through trials.  We love you all!

This week was okay. I got a little sick and just slept a lot when I wasn't at work. I think my coworker gave me her cold. Paul was in lab all week. One more week until he switches to the new lab! Paul and I went for a drive on Saturday and explored the Texas countryside and got out of the city. It was very therapeutic. Sunday I finally did some sewing and am getting really close to finishing my summer quilt! After dinner we went on a walk to the temple. It has been hot this week, hopefully it will get back down to a cool 80 degrees. In the evening we did a zoom call with the Roberts and played a mafia-like game called Among Us. It was really fun! I hope everyone had a good week. Love you!

This week was good. It started kinda rough but ended fun. Paul has not really been interested in the research being done in the lab that he is rotating in so he asked if he could switch to a biochemical/physical lab and we found out this week that his request was granted! We are so happy and excited for the change and are excited for it to be a better fit for Paul. This weekend I went with some work friends to a pumpkin patch nearby and we went back to one of their apartments and had brunch and carved pumpkins. It was really fun! After Paul got done with lab this weekend, we went on a drive to the country and found this cute little farm that was doing free tractor rides and you could go pick out a pumpkin and look at the animals. We saw this longhorn and were surprised by how long their horns were! (The name did not prepare us). We enjoyed conference. It gave us a lot to think about and gave great encouragement. We hope you guys had a positive experience listening to the talks as wel

This week was good. Another week in the lab for Paul. Everyone's pictures of Fall are making us jealous! It has definitely cooled down here but we don't get the pretty trees like Utah does. We fed the missionaries this week. Which means we gave them a gift card. That's pretty much all they will let us do for now but I'm glad we could do something.  Saturday Paul woke up to find this lizard/gecko crawling on our ceiling, then it fell into our kitchen sink. We caught it in a cup and let it go outside but it gave me the heebeegeebees. After that,  I went to a tennis class while Paul was in lab and I got a little sunburned. All the red was gone in a couple of days, so not too bad. It was a lot of fun! I haven't played tennis in a while and was pretty rusty but everyone was nice. We hope you all are doing okay. Love you!

This week was busy. Paul started rotations with Dr. Ready.  The construction at the office got finished up this week and I got my desk officially set up.  I had a relief society activity on Thursday where I got to introduce myself. Since then, I've had a couple of sisters reach out to me for callings and helping me integrate into the ward and area. It has been getting colder in Dallas, which we love! I tried waiting until this week to put up decorations but I couldn't wait! I did wait longer than I did last year though. We hope you all are doing well. Love you!

This week was great! We got a lot of rain in Dallas, which has cooled things down quite a bit.  I started work on Monday and it has been great! I like the people I'm working with. The main girl that is teaching me stuff, Liz, has been super warm and welcoming to me, but everyone has been nice and patient. They are encouraging and Scott, the attorney, has been giving me projects. So I am doing a lot of hands-on learning. We got out early on Friday for the long weekend. We were thinking of driving down to Austin but thought we should explore Dallas more before checking out another city. We went to the zoo on Saturday, which took all day. As soon as we got home it started pouring rain and I heard the loudest cracking thunder I think I've ever heard! After the rain died down, we went to see the new Christopher Nolan movie, Tenet. We really liked it and would totally recommend you guys go see it. Sunday, we went on a drive to a new part of the city we haven't been to before an

This week was a good week! Paul had a good week of classes and I got a job! I was applying all week and heard back from a law firm I had called a couple weeks ago. They emailed me on Thursday, we set up an interview for Friday, they hired me Friday and my first day is tomorrow! I will be a practice assistant for the firm. They specialize in patent and trademark law and they are only a 5 minute drive from our apartment! I am very excited for this opportunity! It will be similar to what I have done for work in the past but I'm sure there will be plenty of new things as well. Saturday, we went to the mall to get me more office clothes and just walked around in the nice air conditioning. It was a fun celebration of getting a job that is better than what we were looking for. We hope you all are well. Love you!

Paul started in person classes this week! Very exciting. I had several interviews and applied for more jobs. I had a pretty promising interview for a close by law firm on Friday. I made more masks for us this week from some fabric Wendy sent me.  Saturday night we went out to dinner with Paul’s cousins that live down here. It was nice to have some people to hang out with.  Hope you all are well. Love you!

This week Paul started orientation! They had everyone watch videos at home and join meetings through the computer. He will have one virtual class but most everything will still be done on campus. For me, the job hunt continues. I had several interviews last week and have even more this week. Hopefully I'll find something that is close by and that is a good fit. Monday, our couch came in the mail! It was the last piece of furniture we were waiting for and now our apartment is completely furnished! The other picture is from last week when we went to Reunion Tower for our anniversary. I found it after I sent the paragraph.  Hope you all are well. Love you!

This week has been fun. It was our 3rd Anniversary on Wednesday! That was also my first day at Routh Street Flats, which is a cottonwood property in downtown Dallas.  In order to get there, I had to get on the freeway with heavy traffic every morning to get to work. It was kinda scary. But I got there in one piece! Even though I was working part time, it felt very full time because I worked 9-6 from Wednesday-Sunday but the week starts over on Saturday, so it was split into two different weeks, according to their calendar. I was seriously pooped when I got home each night.  They had me sanitize and prepare units to be toured, scan and organize packages, as well as follow up with potential leads and use their computer system to stay on top of future and current residents and maintenance requests. I worked Saturday morning all by myself and moved in two new tenets all by myself! Kinda stressful. I also issued tours for about 6 leads all on my own.  I came home to beautiful orchids from

This week we have been working on getting set up in Texas. We worked on getting our cars taken care of and getting everything set up for Paul for the fall.  Part of getting ready, we test drove the commute to UTSW and the place I’ll be working at. We looked around the Dallas art district while we were downtown and got to see the skyline up close.  Sunday we were able to go to church. It was only 45 minutes and we wore masks the whole time. It was nice to go again in what feels like forever.  We hope you all are doing well and staying safe. Love you!

This week has been crazy! Monday, Paul, Sam, Matt, and I drove up to Logan. I got breakfast for everyone while the boys disposed of our unwanted couch and loaded up all three cars with our stuff. Wendy, Mike, and Andy drove up after us so Mike could finish his bike ride. Mike went with Paul, Sam, and Matt on the 20 hour drive down to Texas while I checked us out of the apartment and went with Wendy and Andy to lunch with Adam and Sanora.  Afterwards, we drove back to North Salt Lake. I took a shower, we did some shopping at Joann's and Kohls and got a yummy dinner at Hug-Hes. Hannah drove up and went shopping with us too. It was a lot of fun! Then we watched Legally Blonde and Sweet Home Alabama. The boys stopped in Fort Collins, CO for the night. They said that was the best hotel they stayed in the whole time! Tuesday, I made this hat wreath with stuff we got at Joann's and hung it on Wendy's front door. I love how it turned out. We did some more shopping and got Cafe Ri

It was a good, busy week. Tuesday we met up with our friends, Aaron and Kassie, for dinner at the park and played games.  Wednesday I got a call from cottonwood residential in Dallas asking if I will go work for them once I get down there. I will be working as a customer experience specialist and I’ll be 7 minutes away from Paul! Thank you Chad for getting me a job! Thursday was my last day at work at the courthouse. We ordered in Olive Garden for a goodbye lunch. It was a good goodbye, some of the ladies got teary, they were really good to me this last year.  That night we got rid of our big furniture and  headed down to salt lake for the weekend. Friday morning, Paul and I met up with my lifelong friend, Whitney Corbett, at Finns diner. She’s been sickly lately but had surgery five months ago and is feeling much healthier. We then went up to help Paul’s dad fix up a bike until we met up with my cousin and his wife, Cameron and Collette Cook at Red Rock for dinner. They are having a
