This week has been fun. It was our 3rd Anniversary on Wednesday! That was also my first day at Routh Street Flats, which is a cottonwood property in downtown Dallas.

In order to get there, I had to get on the freeway with heavy traffic every morning to get to work. It was kinda scary. But I got there in one piece! Even though I was working part time, it felt very full time because I worked 9-6 from Wednesday-Sunday but the week starts over on Saturday, so it was split into two different weeks, according to their calendar. I was seriously pooped when I got home each night.

They had me sanitize and prepare units to be toured, scan and organize packages, as well as follow up with potential leads and use their computer system to stay on top of future and current residents and maintenance requests. I worked Saturday morning all by myself and moved in two new tenets all by myself! Kinda stressful. I also issued tours for about 6 leads all on my own.

I came home to beautiful orchids from Paul as an anniversary gift.  I got home from work later than I had hoped, so Paul and I got ready and went to Reunion Tower, where we bought tickets for 8 PM. We got there just in time and went up the tower to see the view of the city. On one side was this beautiful, thriving city and on the other side it was totally flat. Nothing to see...anywhere. Haha it is so different from the majestic Utah mountains. We watched the sunset from the tower and saw the city light up before heading home. We got some Chik-fil-a for dinner and watched a movie at home to finish off the day. It was a little crazy but ended up being super fun.

By the end of the week, I felt that though Routh Street Flats was a good job, it wasn't meeting Paul's and my needs for my job. It was part time, very far away, and the schedule was a little awkward. Sadly I had to quit the job already and have had a couple interviews for jobs that are more suitable for our situation. We are very grateful to Chad for setting me up with the job and are sad it didn't work out.

We hope you are all well. Love you!
