December 23-29, 2019
Tuesday we had hootenannies for breakfast. Paul felt ignored because the rest of the day I spent playing with Bethany and Jessa. They are such sweet little girls. We had our famous Christmas Eve dinner of honey sesame pork tenderloin, twice baked potatoes, and some yummy wedge salad, and mixed vegetables. We all got matching pajamas, which was so fun! It's the first Christmas we were all matching. The jammies were so cozy too! I got to be Santa's helper that night and got a little work out bringing things up and down the stairs *silently*.
Christmas morning we got woken up early with a call from Amelia at 5 am. It was fun to hear about her experiences, even though we didn't get to sleep in. We had breakfast right after of muffins, eggs, and sausage. Peter made some hot cocoa too. After breakfast, we read the Christmas story and went downstairs to open gifts. It was so fun to watch the little girls experience that magic of Christmas. Jessa loved her baby doll she got from Bethany, she wouldn't put her down the rest if the day! Even if it meant she would probably fall down trying to ride the scooter Nana and Grandpa gave her!
After gifts, we all got ready and cleaned up and loaded up the car. Paul was busy playing a game upstairs, so we put in a Christmas movie for the girls and Mom and I totally fell asleep. Bethany snuggled with me the whole time but I don't know if she fell asleep or not.
When Paul finished his game, we drove up to Paul's parents house. We played some games on the switch before heading to the church for hors d'oeuvres, basketball, and games. We had a gift exchange and dinner before going back to the house for a last family trivia game on the switch. Paul and I headed up to Logan after that.
Thursday I had to work, which was so boring and I actually got to go home early - which was super nice. Paul and I started putting away Christmas stuff and cleaning our very dirty apartment. It was such a mess, it took us 3 days to clean it all. We finally finished at 8 pm last night.
Friday I had to stay at work all day and it was crazy boring but we made it through! Paul was so awesome to clean, do laundry, and organize while I was at work. After work we had a birthday party for one of my coworkers. It was a white-trash themed party and was so fun! I was going to go in overalls And go for a cowboy look but Paul told me that wasn't white trash. He proceeded to pick out my outfit. It topped it off that I ran to the dollar store to get a bunch of toilet paper for one of the games on the way to the party. I won pin the tail on the possum! But I lost the crown game. The crown spins and there are forks on the end that hold snacks that you have to try to get off while the music plays it was hilarious.
Saturday we took the car in. We were the only ones and it took less than an hour to get the emissions test done and get it inspected. It was so fast! The rest of the day we just cleaned and organized.
Sunday we went to our last 9 AM meeting in Logan. We're going to be at 11:30 next week. For dinner I made a yummy kale salad to go with our salmon. It was super good. Then we went on a walk to the temple. It snowed quite a bit today.
It was a very good week and a joy to be with you all! Love you!
